Enable biometrics on your device for fast and secure access to Affinidi Vault.
Backup Affinidi Vault Data
Affinidi Vault offers two backup options:
- Local Backup: Generates an encrypted JSON file and downloads it to your machine.
- Cloud Backup: Sends an email with your Backup ID and instructions to restore or delete the backup.

Restoring an encrypted backup requires the passphrase configured when the backup was created.Security Settings
Set up your Affinidi Vault passphrase to secure your data.
The passphrase is used to restore backups and unlock Affinidi Vault if biometrics are disabled.

If you update your passphrase after downloading PDF files for passphrase reset, download new files.Passphrase Reset
Passphrase reset lets you recover access to Affinidi Vault securely.
On the Settings page, download PDF files containing a QR code and secret phrases. Store these files securely or share them with trusted parties or devices.
Note
You must keep these files safe for recovery. If you update your passphrase after downloading them, download new files.Delete Affinidi Vault Data
You can delete your Affinidi Vault data stored on your device. Before deleting, ensure you have generated a backup to restore data later.
To delete:
- Go to Settings.
- Click Delete Vault.
- Enter your passphrase to confirm.
To delete your Affinidi Vault data from the current device, go to the Settings page, click the Delete vault section and enter your passphrase to confirm.
This action cannot be undone. All data, including settings and personal content, will be permanently deleted.
Restore Affinidi Vault Backup
Restore your encrypted backup using one of these options:
- From the JSON file you downloaded.
- From Cloud Backup using the Backup ID sent to your email.
