Deploy Agent Gateway appliance
By the end of this guide, you will have a running Agent Gateway appliance provisioned through the Affinidi Portal and a gateway dashboard URL you can log in to.
Agent Gateway is hosted as a managed appliance by Affinidi. You define the instance through the portal and Affinidi provisions, configures, and operates the underlying infrastructure. Once the appliance is live, you interact with it exclusively through its browser-based dashboard. See Agent Gateway overview for the full architecture.
You need this guide if you are starting from scratch. If your team already has a running gateway instance, skip to Create your first surface.
Prerequisites
- An Affinidi account with access to the Affinidi Portal.
- Permission to create Agent Gateway resources in your organisation’s portal workspace.
Steps
Sign in to the Affinidi Portal and open Agent Gateway
Go to Affinidi Portal and sign in with your Affinidi credentials.
In the left sidebar, select Agent Gateway under the Affinidi Trust Fabric section.
Create a new appliance
Select Create configuration.
Fill in the configuration form:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | A short label for this instance, for example Booking Agent Gateway. Used to identify the appliance in the portal. |
| Description | Optional. A brief note about the purpose of this instance. |
| Appliance size | The size of the appliance suitable for your use case and configuration. You can’t change this field after creation. |

Select Create (or Deploy) to submit the request.
Wait for the appliance to complete the deployment
Provisioning typically completes within a few minutes. The portal shows the appliance deployment state as it transitions from In Progress to Complete.
Once the deployment state is Complete, the appliance shows:
- Agent Gateway Dashboard: the address of the gateway’s browser-based control plane.

Copy the Agent Gateway Dashboard URL. You will need it in the next step.
Open the gateway dashboard
Paste the Dashboard URL into your browser and sign in.
The first account to sign in to the Agent Gateway dashboard becomes the super admin for that instance. Sign in with the account that should own administrative access to this gateway.
After signing in, you land on the Dashboard page. The sidebar shows the main navigation sections: Agent, Management, Configuration, and Monitoring.
The gateway is ready. You can now create your first surface.
Confirm
Confirm the appliance is reachable and your session is active:
- Open the Dashboard URL in your browser and complete the sign-in flow.
- Confirm the Dashboard page loads without error. The sidebar shows Agent, Management, Configuration, and Monitoring.
- Select Surfaces in the sidebar. The Surfaces list loads (empty at this stage). This confirms the gateway is live and your session has the necessary permissions to manage surfaces.
Next steps
- Create your first surface: set up an A2A surface and send a test request.
- Agent Gateway overview: understand the architecture before configuring surfaces.
